Doors.

Today, I am contributing to this week’s Lens-Artist challenge led by Sofia.
As I am posting mostly daily photos recently, on this post, I am going to include some re-developed photos from my daily photo walks and past travels.
Searching in my archive made me realized I am also fascinated by doors, doorways, gate, etc. Hmm and that’s a nice discovery for me.

Trying to document this year’s summer.

About to arrive home from a night photo walk. As I can recall, this day was too hot for me.

The gate going to Gyokusenin Maru Garden in Kanazawa.

I forgot which gate is this from Kanazawa Castle. But this gate is huge. The intent to guard something is quite imposing.

A closed tea house in Kanazawa. How to open this door, I wondered.

Still in Kanazawa. There’s an area called Nagamachi Samurai District where former samurai residence are located and their houses being maintained for viewing pleasure.

One of the gates of Matsuyama Castle in Matsuyama, Ehime. Even though, it is meant for protection, one cannot deny the art it shows.

Lastly, my family strolling in the former Chokyuji Temple.
Enjoy making photos!
How nice to see you pop up in our thread Dan! Loved your response and especially your images from Kanazawa and of course that little sweetie in the closing image. Beautiful post.

I recognised Kanazawa immediately, I’m so glad you shared these with us. I have the exact same samurai house but my photo isn’t as good as yours. Love the last one, so sweet.
